Emergency Services

Emergency Assistance

The U.S. Embassy and Consulates can assist when U.S. citizens in Brazil are arrested, are missing, are victims of violent crime, become ill, die, or where there is otherwise a need for immediate help. Click on the emergency service below for complete information. U.S. citizens in Brazil are, of course, subject to Brazilian laws and procedures. The information which we can share about an American Citizen is sometimes impacted by the Privacy Act.

Click here for emergency contact information during working hours.
